On another site, one that in fact got me hooked on this bloggy thing, I posted a Koan.
I queried what a chameleon would look like if it was placed on a mirror. This was in response to a young lady's plaint about falling for a boy a few years younger than she.
Ahhh, love. Or, what passes for it when you're not of legal drinking age yet.
Why a chameleon and a mirror? At that age, more often than not, young folks are still defining themselves by who they prefer to be with in various ways; little has been etched in stone and changes come at the drop of a hat. A chameleon changes color according to the background against which it stands; a mirror will reflect all that it encounters. Scripted reaction: "Oooohh."
Actually, at times I wish I was that age again. With all this so-called maturity and wisdom, I haven't had a real, good old neck-to-knee hormonal rush since I can't remember when. I miss that.
